Deep Tissue

Deep Tissue is meticulous and focused bodywork. Performed on distinct regions of the body and based on the client's need. This treatment can be intense at times. Techniques used included deeper and lighter pressures. Pain should always be within the client's comfort level, and should be manageable throughout a session. Designed to remove severe tension, relieve both muscles and connective tissue below the surface. It helps to improve range of motion and heal injuries below the surface.

Myofascial Release

This technique is known for relieving pain, increasing flexibility, ease of movement, and improving posture. Techniques that focus on freeing restrictions of movement that originate in the connective tissues of the body- Fascia. Myofascial release is received through stretching and rolling of skin, passive stretches and movement.

Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation

Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation is an advanced stretching technique used to increase range of motion, increase athletic performance, and improve muscle elasticity. PNF utilizes the Golgi Tendon Organ reflex. GTOs are located within tendons and can be used to allow a greater stretch and aid in relaxation of the muscle. PNF does require the client to actively participate with the therapist throughout the session.

Trigger Point Release

Trigger Point Release Therapy focuses on the release of tension around specific nerve centers found throughout your body. It is great for relieving cramped and overused muscles. Trigger points can cause pain and tenderness in one spot and produce a referred sensation to a target zone. Treatment of trigger points may reduce or eliminate the pain, sometimes almost instantly.

Cupping Therapy

Massage Cupping is a modern adaptation of the ancient art of cupping therapy. While massage is performed by applying pressure, cupping instead uses negative pressure to pull, lift, open and expand the body’s soft tissues. Cupping works to reduce inflammation, treat sport injuries, and relieve colds.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic Drainage is a very gentle light skin stretch technique that helps to direct lymphatic fluid towards the lymph nodes. Lymph massage is slow, light touch and a relaxing technique. The lymphatic system is part of your immune system and cleans toxins, proteins, viruses, and dead cells. Receiving MLD gives your lymph system a boost and encourages movement of lymph about 20 times faster than the body is able to do on its own. Once a large amount of toxins are eliminated, the body is able to relax more deeply and use its energy more directly to regenerate the cells. People have been known to lose weight, have increased energy levels.
